NC AHEC is leading the HRSA-funded initiative to develop online educational learning modules to address the misinformation in communities, especially rural communities, around those with addiction and Substance Use Disorder. The target audience for these modules includes community health workers, AHEC Scholars, peer support specialists, and healthcare providers, particularly in rural health centers and underserved areas across the state.
